A Muslim recorded the inside view of Ghar-e-Hira or Hira cave situated on Jabal Al-Nour which means mountain of light in Saudi Arabia. Ghar-e-Hira is quite small and covers area about four arms long and 1.75 arms wide length. The cave has great importance among Muslims because it was the first place where Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) awarded Prophethood.

The significance of Ghar-e-Hira in Islam is related with the Prophethood of Muhammad (S.A.W) where He (PBUH) received the first ever verses of Quran. From that day, the course of the world changed by Prophet (S.A.W). He (PBUH) used to visit Hira cave late at night quite frequently observing the purpose of life.

At the age of 40, Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) awarded Prophethood from Allah in the cave and the most difficult assignment was given to Him (S.A.W). For 23 years, 13 years in Makkah and 10 years in Medina, He (PBUH) worked with devotion to convey the message of Allah to all mankind and faced so many difficulties during the most difficult mission.

Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) conveyed the message of Allah to people of Makkah and invited them to acknowledge the Oneness of Allah. People, who were worshiping idols for many centuries, reacted to this invitation in bad manners and didn’t embrace Islam expect few ones. The people of Makkah teased Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) a lot but He (PBUH) never left hope for a second.
